Unless you have been living under a rock you will know that the teen/tween skincare market has exploded in recent times.
There is so much choice, the skincare looks like sweets, some even smell like sweets!
Many teens are shopping online or requesting gift cards from some well know high end retailers to invest in these products themselves, but is there a need for young skin to use cosmeceutical grade skincare??
In a word, NO less truly is more when it comes to younger skin.
Some basic principles apply to us all.
So now you’ve got the basics let’s go through some quick & easy skincare solutions for
‘normal/oily’ younger skin. I should point out that skincare is so unique to you just because your friends are using a product doesn’t mean it’s the one for you, we are more than happy to carry out a consultation or skincare treatment in the salon to advise on the best products
to suit your skin.
A super gentle face wash, the perfect first cleanser as it is so gentle & non drying is Yon-ka Gel Nettoyant, mix with water in your palms & massage onto the face, neck even chest, use
gentle circular motions for about 30 seconds, take a damp cloth & remove, rinse cloth & wipe over face, neck area again to ensure all product is removed.
Flip top cap & squeezy bottle ensure easy application, it can be used on the eyes too, in the
shower or at the sink.
For skin that has more oil/spots I recommend Dermalogica Clear Start breakout clearing Foaming Wash, this face/body wash contains Salicylic Acid that dives deep into pores, clearing dead skin cells and trapped oils to help wipe out existing and future breakouts. This
is an active product, it loves water so you only need a very small amount mixed with water in your hands to create a foam & massage into the skin, 30 seconds is a good time, rinse off twice, if you leave a residue on it keeps working & will dry your skin out.
Cool easy bottle design can be used at the sink or in the shower.
